Time (sec) - Red Line is Estimated ELAPSED TIME to accelerate using FULL POWER from one VELOCITY to the next. This is an approximated calculation, but very useful in performance prediction and design comparisons. Blue Line is ABSOLUTE VALUE ( /-) of change in Time (sec).

Accelln (fps/s) - Red Line is Estimated average ACCELERATION rate using FULL POWER from one VELOCITY to the next. This is a powerful analysis tool to evaluate the NET impact that design changes can have on real-life performance characteristics. This is an approximated calculation, but very useful in performance prediction and design comparisons.

Elapsed Time maps and Acceleration curve graphics are now produced from the complex dynamic data that is generated by the TBDP/VBDP software.

Use the Performance Report Summary Wizard option to automatically set the optimized trim settings (for maximum acceleration) through the velocity range.

Or, set the trim angles (WAngle) yourself for each step of the velocity range to represent your expected/design trim settings.

Optimize your design for acceleration or elapsed time criteria by changing design features, and comparing ET and AC results.

Make one design change at a time, or make several changes to design variables, and then see BOTH the new performance data and the previous ‘remembered’ performance data - both are presented, making it easy to compare the results of the 2 design.

OR - use the ET/AC graphs to illustrate the potential limiting velocity of your hull design & setup.
